Italy is a country in southern Europe. It comprises a boot-shaped peninsula and two large islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. The capital of Italy being Rome. Italy is one of the oldest countries in the world, steeping in both old world and religious history. Italy is home to many of the worlds' best designers, finest wineries, artists, and creative chefs. The cuisine of Italy has a uniqueness that can not be compared to anywhere else in the world.

Italy is considered to be the sacred land. More Roman Catholics than anyone else visit it. From the earliest ancient times, when Caesar ruled and the coliseum was used to punish and kill Christians. Italy was the most feared country in the world. Today, Italy is a well-developed and evolved country with much to offer the world. Vacationing in Italy is a dream for many Americans who have Roman Catholic roots.

If you are visiting Rome on vacation, you will find that it is one of the busiest and most popular cities in all of Italy. Rome is considered to be the holy city because the Pope and the Roman Catholic religion lives here. Millions of people visit Rome throughout the year to hear the pope giving mass. This city also boasts ancient buildings and structures, such as the coliseum and monuments, as well as churches and palaces from medieval times.

Everywhere you turn and look when in Rome, you see some of the world's most incredible architecture. It is everywhere, creating a fantastic setting for any art lover. Rome also offers some of the finest museums in the world. Filled with ancient and modern art along with artifacts, it is certain that the museums of Rome have the very finest displays in the world.

The city of Venice is immediately thought of when it comes to love and romance. Venice has old world charm in the modern age. It is a place where you can escape and rekindle your love. Many people choose Venice, Italy as their perfect honeymoon destination because it is filled with such romance. Because Venice is built on water, there is not much room for growth. This is what gives Venice its old world charm; nothing has changed in centuries. It truly seems like you have stepped back in time. It is an absolute must, that before leaving Venice you take up a ride on a Gondola. These incredible boats relaxingly float across the water, making you feel like royalty.

Venice is a city that was built on a lagoon. It is as it appears in the movies and on TV. It is a beautiful city built to float on water. There are many different tourist attractions in Venice Italy. However, if you want to see the real Venice, take a walk around until you find the sidewalk cafés that offer incredible food and wines.

There is an incredibly breathtaking countryside in Tuscany, along with restaurant with fine wines and outstanding cuisine. It is by far the prettiest region in Italy. It is emblazoned with seemingly infinite colors and textures, including the scarlet poppy fields, acres of vivid sunflowers, olive groves, vineyards and emerald green pastures. No matter where you place your eyes while in Tuscany, all is worthy of a photograph. There are hundreds of thousand of tourists that travel to Tuscany every year, traveling the roads of Tuscany heading for the city of Florence. It is here where tourists are able to view the incredible works of art that were created in the renaissance era.

Another city in the Tuscany region that tourists flock to is Pisa. It is in Pisa that the leaning tower stands. Pisa also offers many different shops and boutiques where tourists can find unusual and unique gifts to bring home. The restaurants in Pisa consist of street vendors, sidewalk cafes and five star restaurants. The cuisine in all of these establishments is incredible. Many people choose to eat their meals on the grassy square and take in all of the impressive architecture.
