However, be aware that some of the holiday rental websites may well charge you a fee if you book the accommodation through them. So if you can before using their services look to see if the property has its own website and where you are able to book your accommodation direct. In many cases, you will often find that the prices they charge are cheaper than those of the holiday rental websites.

Step 2 - Look closely at the details and any photographs that have been uploaded on to the website to show you what the property is like. However, if you find there are very few details and no photographs available for viewing then move quickly on to the next holiday rental you are interested in.

Remember you will be handing over your hard-earned money to have an enjoyable vacation, so you need to be sure that you will be treated with courtesy and professionalism.

Also, when reading through their information make sure that they have clearly indicated what their terms and conditions are regarding bookings and making payment to them. If you discover that there is no such information on their site, then again look elsewhere for your accommodation.
