If lying on a sunny beach all day doesn't sound active enough for you, then you might be the perfect candidate for an adventure holiday.

These days you don't even have to create the adventure yourself. In fact, rather than independent travelers making their own arrangements, the usual model of adventure travel often starts with a tour group that has excitement and seeing the world in mind. When many people think of a cruise, they think of days on end spent lying on the ship’s decks and evenings watching tawdry shows. Think again. You can even find adventure travel packages that take you on hiking adventures in far- away mountains such as Mount Kilimanjaro. Ecotourism is a great way to spend your well-earned dollars and vacation time. Be sure to shop around before booking, the possibilities are endless and some adventure travel offers can be quite expensive depending on their destinations.

Adventure travel is one of the fastest growing areas of tourism. People want to say they've truly seen the country they are visiting, met the people and seen the sites. Adventure travel gives you an uncommon vacation experience that you could never duplicate or replace and will remember for years to come.
